Creme Organisation NZ tour

Thursday 8th February, 2007 12:00PM
Live and direct from the dirty brown and miserable ghettos of The Hague, Netherlands, Club Lonely in association with Jagermeister and 95bFM presents two outrageous summer nights of Electro, Italo Disco, Chicago Traxx and Slamjack Funk. We keep it deep, we keep it freaked…

CRÈME ORGANISATION NEW ZEALAND TOUR 2007

Feat. LEGOWELT > ORGUE ELECTRONIQUE > DJ TLR

Wellington Friday 16th February at Sandwiches with So So Modern, Disasteradio and Guests.

Auckland Saturday 17th February at Galatos with The Fanatics, North Shore Pony Club and Guests.

For the first time ever three of the most original, exciting and imaginative artists in the history of electronic music are heading from the Netherlands to New Zealand in order to showcase the Crème Orgaization's commitment to mind elevation through world domination. Legowelt, Orgue Electronique and DJ TLR will headline two incredible parties embodying a wild and raw mix of styles and sounds where the only guarantee is that everything will be slamming!

Firing up through the two best club sound systems in the country, we'll see just how deep things can get as three undisputed masters of analog electronics party with local heroes So So Modern (one of the last Wellington appearances before jetting off around the world and beyond), The Fanatics (the first Auckland show with new line-up of Vaughn D4 and Brendan Hasselhoff Experiment), Disasteradio and North Shore Pony Club.

Derrick May once famously observed that techno was "George Clinton and Kraftwerk trapped in an elevator". By that standard, the sound of the Crème Organization might be likened to Klaus Kinski and Amanda Lear having lovelorn sex in the basement of a Rimini discothèque built on the ruins of a blood soaked roman coliseum! Considered a gold standard imprint by true electro fans worldwide, what other label could claim as of right the authority to release a note-perfect Bob Moog tribute album while firing out non-stop cold sweat neo-disco classics in a style so dirty and debonair that it had to be given three names?! This is 'Coca-Disco', also known as the 'West Coast sound of Holland', or 'La Haia bass'.

Birthed from the ashes of the Netherlands underground rave scene and it's now legendary 'acid planet' squat parties, Crème is a label unbound by any social agenda yet entirely mindful of the history of electronic music, and dedicated to the same spirit of renegade futurism that first inspired the founding fathers of Detroit and Berlin.

The marriage of classic electro and techno, Chicago house and Italo disco may sound improbable, but hewn in the analog blast furnaces of three crusading studio geniuses who grew up on the mean streets of The Hague listening to pirate radio, watching obscure Giallo and Krimi movies and dreaming of outer space, it somehow starts to look like a masterplan… a new life form… the rightful and righteous evolution of all that is good!

"No more tasteless designer music by and for mindless jocks and inbred consumers, but deep and RAW Jams to tear your brain back to where it's at! The Crème Organization is dedicated to the stripped down pulsating sick sound of the 808, the epileptic seizure inducing trance of the strobe and fog and the no holds barred slamjack freakout of Chicago's Music Box, where the only pretence of the music is to make you loooooose control!" - Creme Organization mission statement.

Legowelt (Danny Wolfers) - Cruisin' down the beach boulevard in your Mercedes, you'll find yourself back in a translight 80's dreamworld of Moroder, Patrick Cowley, Divine, Italo Disco, Kraftwerk, New Wave, New Order, Technopop, Electric Boogie, and freaked Robot/breakdance. Producer of some of the most dramatic basslines, blistering analogue arpeggios and crushingly romantic melodies in the entire history of electronic music, Legowelt's absolute mastery of vintage synth technique has galvanised a whole generation of party-goers and inspired VICE Magazine to rave:

"This music is f**king amazing, no doubt about it. It'll blast the sh*t out of your speakers, it'll make your body move to the groove, and it'll make your day. This sh*t is relentless. Go out and get some. I'm serious. Steal it if you have to, because it's just that good. The most inventive and restless talent working in electronic music today – This guy is taking over!"

Orgue Electronique (Brian Schiff) - With his minimal and unvarnished electro-funk Orgue Electronique creates the minimum for the maximum! But when he is together with Legowelt you'll get the ultimate mixture of La Haia Coca Disco and Kraftwerk-wave pop, a total flashback of your best teenage school parties, where there's a first time for everything and every one of them is happening at once!

DJ TLR (Jeroen Van Der Star) - TLR is both founding father of the Creme Organization and of Euro Electronic web hub Global Darkness. Creme was conceived as an outlet for direct to dancefloor electro inspired tracks. The tight-knit roster of Crème Organization artists make gritty and freaked music that has much in common with the originating spirit of punk and rock and roll.
