Video: David Lynch Animation For Interpol
Tuesday, 2nd August 2011 10:06AMAfter brilliant debut Turn On The Bright Lights and sophomore Antics, Interpol seemed to disappear into a time warp of albums that sounded exactly the same, falling out of step with the musical concerns of the day. They returned at the end of last year with a self-titled album, and followed that up with a performance at Coachella Festival.
David Lynch obviously still holds a candle for the New York bands brand of post-punk because he teamed up with them to create an animation to accompany their performance of track 'Lights'. It played during their set at the festival and has only just become available online. Check out the unsurprisingly high levels of indescribable weirdness from the seminal director below.
