Arcade Fire Win 2011 Polaris Prize For The Suburbs

Indie heavy-weights Arcade Fire have taken out this years Polaris Prize, a Canadian music prize that champions the artistic merit of a new release. Their latest release The Suburbs, which also nabbed a Grammy, was a clear frontrunner but was certainly amongst great company with other nominees: Timber Timbre (Creep on Creepin On), Austra (Feel It Break), Braids (Native Speaker), Destroyer (Kaputt) and more (click here for full list).
