Kimbra Wins Critics Choice Prize For 2011

Kimbra Wins Critics Choice Prize For 2011

Friday 7th October, 2011 9:31AM

The winner of the Critics Choice Prize was decided at a show at the Kings Arms Tavern in Auckland last night. Popstrangers kicked things off followed by The Unfaithful Ways then Kimbra who took out the award for 2011.

The Critics Choice Prize was established to draw attention to rising NZ acts who will hopefully see some NZ Music Awards action in the coming years, which Kimbra most certainly will and we hope Popstrangers and The Unfaithful Ways will also.

Wow that's suprising, I would have never have picked it. If it wasn't for Street Chant beating TNAF last year I'd be tempted to call bullshit...
