Big Day Out 2012 Second Lineup Announcement

The second round of acts for the Big Day Out next year have been revealed along with the news that Kanye West is no longer be on the bill and major changes to the stage layout of the festival.

Here are the second round of acts to be announced.

Noel Gallagher, Nero, The Vaccines, Cavalera Conspiracy (ex Sepultura), Bassnectar, Regurgitator, Kimbra, Parkway Drive, Midnight Youth, Das Racist, Six 60, Mt Eden, The Adults, I Am Giant, Cairo Knife Fight, Jakob, Bulletproof, Junica, @Peace, DJ Severe and Nick D.

They joined previously announced acts:

Internationals: Sound Garden, Kasabian, Best Coast, Girl Talk, Foster The People, Cage The Elephant, Battles, Mariachi El Bronx, Röyksopp, The Living End and My Chemical Romance

Locals: Gin Wigmore, David Dallas, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Cut Off Your Hands, Ghost Wave, Beastwars and MayaVanya

Stage changes include:

There will only be one main stage with no barricade area. There will be a second stage in the main stadium area but it will probably be down the back by the skate ramp.  The Converse  stage is also being removed as is the Local/Hot Produce stage and Lilyworld. 

Change is good and were looking forward to checking out the new look festival.

Pretty glad the line up sux - I hated the set up any way - such as the traffic light system to let people near the stage and the drinking pens and plus I got a firework land on me despite all this....
