Thursday 14th June, 2007 12:00PM
Die!Die!Die! (Tardus Music) is on the cover of Artrocker magazine! The fortnightly London publication has long championed the punk 3-piece, inviting them to play many an Artrocker showcase and featuring their debut self-titled album as 'Album of the Fortnight'. This years covers also include Maximo Park, Kings of Leon, The Horrors and The Klaxons. The album, released in the UK in May on the Pet Piranha label, has also garnered rave reviews from NME (8/10) Kerrang! (4/5) and PlayMusic (4/5). After two European dates supporting personal heroes Slint, 20 - 26 June sees the band opening 5 German shows for The Blood Brothers. Today the boys play live and sign copies of their album at the Virgin Megastore in Manchester.

8 Foot Sativa's (8 F S Records) 'Poison of Ages' tour got underway on the weekend, with punters in Palmy and Wellington packing venues to the rafters. With what is essentially a brand new live line-up, guitarist Gary Smith being the only remaining original member, the fans have given their seal of approval that the new and improved 8 Foot is still a powerful machine. The tour finishes up with an all-out R18 and All Ages party at the Studio in Auckland. See www.8footsativa.com for dates. Album in stores now.

Nebraska's Tilly and the Wall (Dew Process AUS) have confirmed a one off show in August. Leading the global charge of the good times 60s melodic pop revival (along with 'Cansei de Ser Sexy' and 'Of Montreal'), Tilly and the Wall have garnered a huge following for their hook heavy albums and enthusiastically hyperactive 'tap dance driven' live shows (yes, they have a tap dancer/percussionist instead of a drummer)...
