Finally! Four long years after the release of their brilliant debut album Teleport Palace, Thought Creature are back at last with new four track EP Total Recall out May 25th on Crystal Magic Records. And if that wasn't exciting enough, their second full length - Ocean Dreams - is due out later in the year.

For now though, the Total Recall EP will be more than enough to satiate your Thought Creature cravings and you can sample the goods right here with the first single 'Smoke Machine'....

Crystal Magic Records is proud to present the latest release from Wellington cybernetic fuzz-rock trailblazers Thought Creature! Four perfectly formed deep cuts of the groups legendary pop-psychedelia guaranteed to get asses shaking – a dance oriented follow-up to the duo of Will Rattray and Danny Brady’s critically acclaimed album Teleport Palace (voted one of the top 10 albums of 2008 in Real Groove magazine)!

A popular live favourite, they’ve played with a who’s who of local talent including Die Die Die, Street Chant and Shocking Pinks. Thought Creature recently set up shop in Berlin for much of last year – turning on, tuning in and vibing out to the vibrant local electronic scene. The results of their European sojourn can be heard in the catchy sonic swirls of Total Recall! Like a gothic fog descending on baggy-era Manchester, Total Recall constructs cathedrals of sound out of crisp electronic beats and laser-attack synths, with singer Will Rattray’s vox beaming like a beacon through the otherworldly atmosphere.

Striking an elegant balance between amped up guitar psychedelia and contemporary dance-pop, Thought Creature occupy a pivotal position on the NZ music landscape, with Rattray (also of Full Moon Fiasco) a gifted lyricist. A highlight of the recent Camp Alowhum festival, their live show is unmissable - the duo is joined by visual artist Erica Sklenars on live projected visuals.
