Klaxons take out the Mercury Prize
Wednesday 5th September, 2007 12:00PM
Klaxons have won the Nationwide Mercury Prize for Album Of The Year for their Myths Of The Near Future record.
The trio appeared on stage to collect the award in a rather drunk state though Jamie could just about say: “The Mercurys are about pushing music forward and we believe that’s what we did!”
The annual award has seen many other up and coming acts be awarded this prize with last year the Arctic Monkeys, and recently Dizzee Rascal.
