Wonderful song and video from CHCH band the LEDs, Rumba.
The LEDs are mostly from Christchurch and play in a mostly electronic style. Some have labeled them as being a part of the 06/07 christchurch "manchester of the south" scene but they also have their roots in the late 80s flyingnun/independents lo-fi sounds. Influences of groups such as The Fall and Wire sit next to more contemporary ware, the likes of Hotchip and CSS with the overall flavour being DIY. Their debut album "we are the LEDs" was released in 2007. Their current line up is Helen greenfield, Marcus Thomas , Blair Parkes, and Dan Batkin Smith.
