The JD Set Presents The Tutts and Motocade

Saturday 29th September, 2007 12:00PM

The JD Set is a worldwide phenomenon. The best live acts from all around the globe have been involved with JD Set parties and tours, bands like The Rapture, CSS, Kaiser Chiefs, The Howling Bells, Spoon and many more! Here in NZ, following hot on the heels of the massively successful JD Set tour #1 in July featuring So So Modern and Cut off Your Hands, comes another terrific twosome of sweet New Zealand bands.

Recently nominated for "Single of the Year" at the NZ music awards, The Tutts hit the live scene in New Zealand with an unprecedented smash! That infectious guitar riff of their radio hit "K" stuck in the heads of music fans everywhere, while the tracks off their myspace page received a phenomenal 100,000+ plays. Live performances are desperately requested by fans, but few and far between for this band who are busy working on their debut album. If you were at the Big Day Out earlier in the year you would have been amongst one of the biggest crowds for a local act of the entire day. Their blistering set that morning talked about the rest of the day. If you are looking for a dance party, look no further.

Joining the danstastic Tutts on this goodtime party action are buddies and awesome Aucklander's Motocade. The band that never sleeps, Motocade have had a crazy productive last 18 months, they've managed to release two stonkin EPs ("Motocade EP " & "Into the Fall "), tour NZ a couple of times, pop over to Australia for some shows with Pluto and release a series of artistic videos - including the Juice Award finalist "My Friends (think I'm stupid for liking you) ", that unless you have been too busy watching Britney spears on youtube, you would have definitely seen all over TV.
