The Big Day Out Sydney Sells Out

Tickets to the Sydney Big Day Out have officially sold out in record time.
Last week heralded the return of the BIG DAY OUT, Australia’s biggest touring festival on the musical calendar. This week we’ve received a warm welcome back from music fans with the first release of tickets to the SYDNEY BIG DAY OUT to be held on Friday 25th January 2008, at Sydney Showground SOLD OUT this morning.
Since going on sale today, 45,000 tickets to the SYDNEY BIG DAY OUT have been snapped up at lightning speed by music fans.
Apart from the lack of sleep overnight from the long delays in the BDO ticket fulfillment website, it has been a reasonably smooth process considering the new reduced ticket limit. Ticketmaster sold out their 20,000 ticket allocation in less than five minutes, setting a new benchmark for any event in the country.
As previously announced, the final 10,000 tickets will be made available for purchase through an online ticket ballot via the Big Day Out website, www.bigdayout.com.
Tickets for the Auckland Big Day Out go on sale on October 12.
