The Myspace secret show returns with Auckland's blues explosion, the Checks

MySpace.com today announced that The Checks be returning to their home town of Auckland to present a FREE MySpace Secret Show at an undisclosed location on April Saturday 5th. Supported by the eclectic sound of Auckland’s White Birds and Lemons and with a set on the decks from 95bFM’s Matthew Crawley this exclusive all ages gig will give a handful of Aucklanders the opportunity to experience The Check’s trademark blues driven rock’n’roll in a unique and intimate setting.

Having already supported the likes of REM, Oasis and Muse, the five piece have witnessed phenomenal success since forming in 2002. Championed by the UK’s favourite music weekly the NME and following on from their critically acclaimed debut LP , Hunting Whales , their single "What You Heard" debuted at #16 on the UK Indie charts. Renown for their high energy live shows, this local success story will give a home crowd of MySpace fans the ultimate live experience for FREE.

MySpace Secret Shows are exclusive concerts held throughout New Zealand featuring some of the biggest international and local artists. The only way MySpace users can find out specific details about this and future concerts is by adding Secret Shows as a ‘friend’ to their profile via www.myspace.com/secretshowsnz. Entry is strictly limited on a first come first served basis.
