Attack and Release is the fifth album from the 2 piece, alt blues band from Ohio.

There are of course the similarities with acts like the White Stripes on the surface, but dig a little deeper and you have songs full of an entirely different character.

The band was supposed to record this with Ike Turner (yeah Tinas ol hubby) , but that had to be scrapped after his death on 07, so the choice was made to go with Danger Mouse, which seems to have been the perfect choice

There’s still a little bit of “your new favourite band is actually your dads” but there’s a timeless quality to it that really rewarding. Its surprisingly a rich, full sounding album and just dam cool.

I dare you to not be whistling after “Things Aren’t Like They Used To Be”
