This album shocked me. The stunning self titled album from Santogold, burst forth and claimed the entire music industry with one verse.

I have to be precise here and sum up this album as existing in two distinct separate parts.

1. Indie –aka TV On the Radio/Yeah Yeah Yeahs 2. Dub Electronic – aka MIA

And as awesome as number 2 works I think her real talent is in the indie numbers where we can see her craft songs with build and poise.

Her singing style has a really relaxed sound like she’s been doing it 100 years, and this professional ease is the icing on the cake on a album everyone should have in their collection.
