The Hobnail Boots are currently working on material for their much anticipated 5th CD and will be playing a batch of new material alongside the regular Hobnail classics. Featuring “Jo Moir’s barnstorming fiddle”, the award winning songwriting of Rob Joass, the fabulous rhythm section of Hamish Graham and Caroline Easther, spectacular harmonies, and over 100 years of collective performance experience, The Hobnail Boots live show is one not to be missed.
The Shot Band, as well as being a staple on country stations throughout NZ, have received airplay in the US and England. Their song “Dead in the Water” was a finalist for Best Country Song at the 2006 APRA NZ music awards. National Radio reviewer Nick Bollinger described them as being “Where the spirit of Johnny Cash meets the swagger of Keith Richards”.
