A great evening from these two with their brand of accessible jazz in the Peggy Lee - Dianna Krall mould as well as quirky humorous songs, boogie woogie, New Orleans, some pop classics and Latin. Kevin also plays the trumpet and piano at the same time.
Pianist Kevin Clark and vocalist Fran Barton first teamed up together in the ‘70s working together at a top fine dining restaurant in Wellington for several years, and then moved on to television and radio work. They have many credits including some fifty television appearances, many radio programmes, and appearances at major jazz festivals in New Zealand.
Kevin Clark is a well known award winning jazz-pianist, composer and arranger, having won the NZ Music Award Jazz “Tui” twice and his latest album “Zahara” was a finalist in 2007. Fran is on Kevin’s CDs as well as an album featuring her called “Don’t You Feel My Leg”.
