This January dueling Melbourne two pieces Flying Scribble and Butcher Blades will pit spook pop against electro spy as they face off in a series of gigs across New Zealand.
Following up their tour of New Zealand last August, the Melbourne based lady two piece are bringing their haunted organs and drums back to New Zealand shores with shows at None Gallery in Dunedin on the 14th of January, the Wunderbar in Lyttleton on the 15th of January and at Mighty Mighty in Wellington on the 16th of January.
Being compared to Yo La Tengo to Krautrock to Broadcast, Flying Scribble have recently supported the likes of Camera Obscura, Qua and Bachalorette.
This time Flying Scribble are bringing a spare set of non identical twins with them in the form of Butcher Blades, a mix of mutilated 60’s spy and retrofuture, and modern electro and disco.
