Catch the soothing soulful melodies of Jess Chambers in her solo show at TheNewDowse Late Lounge.
Singer-songwriter Chambers won praise for her 2008 debut album, ‘Jess Chambers and the Firefly Orchestra’, described by the NZ Herald as “a well-crafted collection of lullabies”. More recently, she has played as part of Kiwi supergroup ‘The Woolshed Sessions’, where her song ‘Stringing Me Along’ won APRA’s Best NZ Country Song of 2009.
The Late Lounge is a monthly art of music series, with all galleries, café, bar, shopette and visitor lounge open till 9pm. Current exhibition highlights include Lisa Walker: Unwearable, HotHouse and Long Live the Modern.
