After a full New Zealand tour, Surf Friends will be returning to Wellington for a show with Wellington based band Dial Square.
Surf Friends influences draw from early indie sounds of Flying Nun bands such as The Clean with new experimental waves of No Age and Deerhunter.
A band with a massive sound and drum machine tracks, Surf Friends have often been liken to Joy Division and New Order. No show is the same as the band embraces the feel of the live experience through their reverberating guitars and bass, synch keyboard tracks and looped samples.
For a taste of indie/dance/pop/noice or a mix of all, head along to the Watusi for a great night of experience.
