The National Youth Brass Band of New Zealand is about to embark on their 2010 Summer Course and Tour, this year taking on the South of the South. These talented young musicians have been selected from throughout the country and have been deemed the best of the best.
Whether touring throughout New Zealand, or anywhere off shore, the musicianship of these young players has been a credit, not only to the brass musician fellowship throughout New Zealand but also to all musicians and teachers of music nationwide.
Come along and listen to the very best of young brass and percussion musicians in New Zealand. If you like music then you will like these young musicians and marvel at their skills and abilities as they perform at the highest levels of young musicianship.
This is certainly a concert that all music critics should see and hear; young people who have a desire to be musicians as a career and all those people who remember the grand old days of brass music at nearly every public event in their home town.
The National Youth Brass Band of New Zealand is conducted by the irrepressible conductor Graham Hickman of Christchurchs Woolston Brass fame and features reknown Davey Boyes on Euphonium as this years guest soloist.
This really is a concert series not to be missed by anyone who loves music.
