of releases, Nathan Haines has been at the
forefront of modern soul, jazz and electronic music
for over 20 years. His albums Squire for Hire
and Sound Travels, produced in London by Phil
Asher, have remained classics, and featured an
incredible array of talent including US soul legend
Marlena Shaw and UK diva Vanessa Freeman.
Collaborations and sessions have included Reel
People, Jamiroquai, Karl Orr and Billy Cobham,
4-Hero, Da Lata, Masters at Work, Louie Vega,
Jon Cutler and many more.
Nathan is about to release his seventh album
Heaven and Earth. Vanessa Freeman once again
features on ‘Its Alright’, UK vocalist Kevin Mark
Trail (of The Streets fame) features on the dubheavy
first single ‘Pathway’. Guitarist brother
Joel features strongly on material the pair have
written together. Recorded between Nathan and
Joel Hanies’ studios and Neil Finn’s superb Roundhead
Studios in Auckland, Heaven & Earth will be
released by Warner Music on March 15th 2010.
