Live Sound Sculpture.
The central feature of Silencio Ensembles Mekhane is a revolving mechanical apparatus with a six meter boom from which a microphone is suspended. The live, 12-piece ensemble sits in a circular fashion facing outwards in fleeting contact with various amplifications. The music making revolves around various interactions with the device and the structures found within it.
