Unearth and The Black Dahlia Murder

Unearth and The Black Dahlia Murder

Sat May 29th, 2010

Doors open: 7:00 pm
Entry: R18

Hailing from Massachusetts - Unearth return to Aotearoa for their third visit. Originally formed in 1998, the band has released a steady stream of modern metal classics, including 2001’s ‘The Stings of Conscience’ through to  2008’s masterpiece ‘The March’. Combining elements of hardcore, thrash, and extreme metal with thought-provoking lyrical ideas and concept, the band has proven to be one of the most influential heavy acts of the past decade. For years on end, Unearth continuously conquer global territories and undoubtedly remain of the hardest and most consistent touring bands in the genure.

Adding to the onslaught of Unearth's blistering live show are US legends The Black Dahlia Murder. Still riding high on their rabidly-received fourth studio album ‘Deflorate’, following their pitch-black cacophony of 2007’s ‘Nocturnal’. The Black Dahlia Murder have cemented their place as one of metal’s most outstanding underground outfits at the peak of its unmitigated musical brutality. Since forming in 2000, the Black Dahlia death machine has won over thousands of dedicated fans with relentless worldwide touring. The two shows in may will mark the band's second time in New Zealand since their first visit to our shores on their highly successful appearance alongside Cephalic Carnage at the infamous 'Total Fkn Mayhem' Fest.

Unearth and The Black Dahlia Murder will be supported by two of the most talked about up and coming kiwi metal acts, namely The Mark of Man (which features current and ex-members of legendary metal and hardcore bands such as 8 Foot Sativa, In Dread Response, Kill Me Quickly and Day One) and Molest The Episcopate (also boasting an all-star a line up of current and ex-members of Antagonist AD, Graymalkin, Bloodletting and Dawn of Azazel).

These two nights of metal carnage are not to be missed.

The Kings Arms, Auckland - Saturday May 29th, doors open 7pm
