As NZ Music Month 2010 beckons, CPIT and Christchurchmusic.org.nz are proud to present CHARTFEST 2010 - Christchurch’s largest indoor multi-stage festival, locked in and ready to close the annual May celebration in style on Friday 28 May 2010, 1pm-11pm in the Christchurch Town Hall Complex.

Christchurch’s biggest party features one of the strongest line-ups ever, keeping with the tradition of presenting dynamic emerging acts as well as some of the South Island’s most significant artists across five stages showcasing some beautifully diverse musical styles.

Following the success from the 2008 and 2009 events, CHARTFEST looks to take it up a gear in 2010 with an expanded afternoon programme. CF10 kicks off after lunch with the Ukulele Orchestra competition, music performance and technology clinics followed by presentations by the Band Team Search category winners. Be sure to checkout the back stage tours, music gaming zone, artist signing area, giveaways, prizes and much more. Everything you ever needed to know about the Christchurch music scene will be on show in the Town Hall Complex from 12pm til 6pm on Fri 28 May 2010.

From 5pm Christchurchs bands are invited to attend seminars, panel discussions and the industry expo followed by live performances from some of Christchurch’s best live acts across 5 indoor stages. Dont miss The Verlaines, Clap Clap Riot, Dictaphone Blues, Die! Die! Die, Electric Wire Hustle Sound System with Benny Tones, The Eastern, Tom Cosm and many more.

Tickets only $17.50+bf, Students $10+bf from Real Groovy & Ticketek
