Gig Information

For the first time in Northland, 5 piece dub / rock reggae band Ire Exit will be bringing their original sunshine dance reggae all the way from the Naki!
Performing 2 gigs, the first on Friday 23rd of April at The Pavillion @ Twin Peaks, Kaitaia & the 2nd on Saturday 24th of April at The Ballroom, Whangarei. Dont miss out!

Singer/Songwriter Chris Wilkes had a vision of creating Ire Exit and, lead by a desire to enlighten and motivate positive social change, went about gathering in the talented musicians to form the band in 2005 Hard work and continual development of sound has resulted in an edgy, energetic fusion of dub reggae and psychedelic rock, oozing dance appeal and stimulating the senses. With songs speaking of injustice and war, coupled with songs of positivity and light, Ire Exit evokes emotion while providing encouragement in the harsh environment of the world today. To date Ire Exit has gone on to play such events as; The Ahureri Fishhook Festival, The East Coast Waitangi/Kahungunu Day Festival, The Parihaka International Peace Festival (alongside such acts as Kora, KatchaFire, House of Shem, Unity Pacific, Little Bushmen) , The East Coast Bob Marley Tribute Concert, and The Taranaki Wine and Food Festival in 08, 09 and 2010 with Dubdoubt, D-Dub and Tahuna Breaks. Ire Exit have also played in support of bands such as Odessa, Spacifics and Tommyl. Ire Exit is committed to travelling the land sharing the energy of their live act.
