Jameson Jam Sessions – The Best Gigs – The Best Drinks
The Line Up:
Six60
These Dunedin boys are currently ripping up the New Zealand live music scene with their keen and rapidly growing following. Six60 have developed a unique sound of Kiwi roots, dub and drum and bass, which they perform through an amalgamation of mixing techniques and live instrumentation. Six60 are renowned for their live show dynamics and are creating an infectious buzz around the country.
Jayson Norris
Combining his rich, earthy voice with a blend of soul, roots and rock, Jayson Norris has successfully carved a niche for himself in the UK music scene and is set to do the same in New Zealand this year with the release of his second album Freedom 28. Jayson subtly reflects his cultural and musical heritage with a South-Pacific feel resonating throughout his songs and heartfelt lyrics.
Coast
An up-and-coming three-piece, Coast are like a well-crafted puzzle where each piece snugly fits intuitively blending a roll call of genres from dub to funk, rock psychedelia to reggae/roots creating a resonance, that is both familiar to the kiwi ear and captivating in its passion-infused delivery. Translated to their live set, Coast’s songs are nothing short of epic. Ranging from emotive harmonious acoustics to dynamic grooves awash with chugging guitars, hard hitting rhythms and sprawling bass lines, a powerful and mesmerising show is always anticipated.
