Jameson Jam Sessions – The Best Gigs – The Best Drinks
The Line Up:
T*B*C* (The Babysitters Club)
T*B*C are a New Zealand Electronica/Bass and Funk/Groove production team with a strong Singer Songwriter element that oozes with infectious fleshy hooks. It consists of Jason Kerrison (OPSHOP), maitreya, Tim Skedden (The Unsuitables) and newcomer Selwyn Leaf. T*B*C* started when throwing sounds and ideas together while babysitting for a friend, hence the name. The Babysitters Club only have one rule: Any track presented has to be danceable or it doesn’t make the cut.
Jayson Norris
Combining his rich, earthy voice with a blend of soul, roots and rock, Jayson Norris has successfully carved a niche for himself in the UK music scene and is set to do the same in New Zealand this year with the release of his second album Freedom 28. Jayson subtly reflects his cultural and musical heritage with a South-Pacific feel resonating throughout his songs and heartfelt lyrics.
A Hori Buzz
A Hori Buzz started out as a jam band with a bunch of mates, the idea was to book gigs and see what happens! Initially a nine piece, A Hori Buzz is now a fluid three piece with a bunch of vibrant songs scoping the possibilities of future-funk, soul grooves and genre experimentation. A Hori Buzz is led by Aaron Tokona, the frontman for the reformed Weta and talented guitarist for Nick Gaffaneys Cairo Knife Fight. Formerly based in Wellington and now settled in Lyttelton, expect fluctuating melodies and musical ideas showcased in true jam session style.
