The inaugural Auckland Reggae Fest - a late-night extravaganza of reggae, rocksteady, roots, and ska bands grooving Auckland punters through the Saturday night in the comfortable surrounds of Khuja Lounge, at the top of Queen St in Central Auckland.

Introduced as a special event for the 2010 New Zealand Music Month, this show on the 22nd May promises to be a diverse and entertaining collection of acts performing skankaliciously til the wee hours.
Punters are in for a treat with the smooth downbeat vibes of Niuean four-piece TENEMENT YARD, soulful reggae and RnB songstress ROYALA, local favourites KINGSLAND BOOM SOCIETY, recent award-winning reggae collective UNKNOWN PEACE, and of course the infamous 7-piece, horn-blowin, tiger-suit-wearin, panty-sellin Jamaican ska band ATSUSHI AND THE MOISTIES keepin the crowd entertained in the 60s and 70s style until early morn.
Not only that, but weve enlisted the one and only legendary selector DJ DUBHEAD (Rhythm Selection, 95bFM) to entertain the masses between the breaks!
