Join The Rooftop Collective and special guests The Tenement Yard and Paaka Davis for a night of Soul/Funk/HipHop/Reggae & Roots at the infamous Masonic Tavern, Devonport

With a night of diversity it is sure to get your soul clap skankin shuffle on!

The Masonic Tavern is an outstanding venue and its a pleasure to bring these 3 acts together under one roof.

TENEMENT YARD:

\Pacific Roots, Rocks, Reggae.

\Tenement Yard\ have been together in this line up for about two years; the band have enjoyed significant success playing live on the Auckland circuit. They bring a fresh style of Reggae and Rocksteady with a unique Pacific feel. Reigning from all four corners of Auckland, Tenement Yard have played with the likes of \Katchafire\,\Three Houses Down\ and \Unity Pacific\ amongst many other well known New Zealand Reggae / Roots bands. The Band have had 3 tracks on the Concious Roots compilations, and are currently on the cusp of finishing their own Debut Album.

Tenement Yard are signed to Auckland Label A&R Records and you willdefinitely be hearing more from these boys, in the not to distant future.

THE ROOFTOP COLLECTIVE:

The Rooftop Collective is quickly becoming one of the most highly anticipated bands in the local music scene.

Revolving around lead-singer and songwriter Edward Waaka, the crew of guitarists, brass players, keyboardists and drummers come together to create a sound that is truly unique.

The Rooftop Collective have been performing together for less than 12 months, and with each performance their momentum grows, and recently they have been receiving some positive feedback from industry figures and artists alike.

With an organic sound that is derived from a wide range of genres including soul, funk, reggae and dub, the group also strongly focus on identifying and reflecting Aotearoa’s landscape.

Technically and aesthetically pleasing, their music encompasses the subtle complexities, which make it sophisticated, intelligent and emotive, helping the group to connect with their audience on many different levels.

The band’s explosive ability to shift the atmosphere throughout a set displays their collective musicianship and on stage chemistry.

With more shows lined up throughtout the year, the group are setting their sights on a nationwide tour to promote their new and infectious brand of locally produced music.
