THREE HOUSES DOWN was formed in 2004 by Robert Pomee, Lisiate Langi, Sione Pomee, Charlie Pome’e, Loiola Pomee (the five founding members) and their friends and family after Rob left another band that was based - three houses up - the road from their parents home. The band PA and equipment was purchased by Rob’s dad Talanoa after some encouragement from the boys grandfather Tevita Aho Pome’e, who sadly passed away recently.

The band is built on a strong choral tradition. Rob, his father and his late grandfather have all been choirmasters. The band is based in Otara and has built up a large and loyal live following by playing gigs week in week out. They are known for tight musicianship, a good work ethic and putting on a great show.
THREE HOUSES DOWN specialise in REGGAE. They are highly talented and gifted in vocals, musical instruments, musical composition & so forth. When they entertain, they inspire others to use their gifts and talents to the best of their ability.
Three Houses Down use one of New Zealand’s leading Reggae sound engineers to ensure there sound is of the best possible quality whether it be at a bar or a festival as the key to a good reggae show is good hard and fast sound.
