Blackout Music Management announce
CAIRO KNIFE FIGHT
Cairo Knife Fight announce NZ dates to coincide with the release of their self titled EP.
Following on from their coveted supports to Them Crooked Vultures, Gomez and their amazing Boiler room performance at this years Big Day Out, Cairo Knife Fight (Nick Gaffaney and Aaron Tokona) take their two man show on the road for a series of NZ dates.
With the release of their self-titled EP out now on Sony Music, the time is right to go see exactly what this band is about. Huge sounds, driving looped rhythms, soulful voice and hypnotic guitar.
On their recent support to Gomez in Wellington, CKF received a standing ovation, most unusual for an opening act. This band is a must see!

A Christchurch duo of singer/ drummer Nick Gaffaney and former Weta guitarist Aaron Tokona, Cairo Knife Fight somehow manage to kick up as much ruckus as six men on this bold and bracing four-track E.P. Big Face melds tribal drums and paint-stripping Led Zep-style riffery to great effect, while beautifully-sung standout track All I Ever Wanted rises and falls like a stormy sea as Gaffaney delivers a falsetto ode to a troubled relationship over chiming guitars. Rock music this epic and soulful comes rarely.
