Detonate Festival - bigger, faster, harder and louder than any other New Years Eve experience yet. Its not your usual New Years party. Thundering, heart stopping explosions, sky high fireballs, crazy stunts and the hottest Kiwi bands and DJs.
While Detonate 2009 will be hard to beat, we have great plans in place for 2010 and our guests are in for a festival experience of epic proportions. Weve got special effects and pyrotechnics all day including new interactive explosions: try the Fitzroy Engineering fireball generator, or write your regret on the Forget the Regret Car, you just might get to blow it to smithereens!
A killer line-up is being prepared for this year including The Rabble, These Four Walls and November Zulu. Tallented Local and national DJs will be spinning up a storm in the Dance zone. Some awesome line-up announcements are coming soon, so keep in touch through our Facebook page for updates.
We’ve also got surprise stunts, a paintball gauntlet, three Detonate Mudslides, gyro rides, helicopter rides with Precision Helicopters, revolving interactive entertainment like Zorb, Sumo and Fly-On-The-Wall, food and drink stalls, merchandise from local suppliers, a band signing tent, an R18 licensed area and much more. It’s wet your pants exciting!
