Join us for the first instalment of Riverblinds mini South Island Tour!
Based in Wellington, Riverblind is a band intent on pushing the boundaries of their art and providing the audience with a sense of inclusion and discovery.
The group play an eclectic form of rock infused with jazz that has been called “dark, aching and intelligent” by wellingtonlivemusic.com, and the group was touted as “the most mind-blowingly original act w...e’ve ever played with” by Made In China.
Anthesiac, who have been making an incredible racket for a number of years now with their effects laden wall of sound are pleased to be on the bill with these chaps. Having played a show with Riverblind earlier in the year, they were keen to share the stage once more.
Drawing from the influences of HDU, Jakob, Sigur Ros & Radiohead among others, the sound has a huge dynamic range, from a whisper to massive. The set is varied with a good range of material & those who dig it are riveted to the spot the whole time.
