Our old southern favorite Dave Mulcahy fronts an evening of rock with The Cranks and Sexy Animals at the Dog’s Bollix on Saturday 23 October. Dave Mulcahy has been writing and performing music since the early 1980s, most notably for Flying Nun stalwarts such as The Jean-Paul-Sartre Experience, Superette and his more recent incarnation, Spider.
The Cranks, fronted by Dave are a post-punk 3-piece with Wire/Stooges leanings featuring ex-renderers rhythm section of Michael Daly and John Billows.
Sexy Animals started as a two piece FALL covers band which morphed into an irreverent display of rocknroll with its tongue firmly placed between both cheeks. A rowdy glam pub-rock 4-piece featuring the rhythm section from underground art-rockers Into the Void, guitarist/songwriter David Mulcahy and Lead singer extraordinaire showoff Mark Banfield
