The Green Film Festival

Kaipatiki Project, the Environment Centre of the North Shore, proudly presents an environmental film festival for all Aucklanders to enjoy. Supported by Academy Cinemas and Good magazine, these award-winning productions will be shared with audiences at the Academy Cinema in Lorne Street, Auckland City on four consecutive Sundays in October at 4pm (10 – 31).
The four films were chosen because they resonate closely with Kaipatiki Project’s own diverse work of planting trees, protecting wildlife habitats and promoting sustainable living. They will also ring true with Aucklands particular environmental challenges of protecting our unique biodiversity, getting around the city easily or simply shopping sustainably.
To close the festival on 31 October, ‘Fresh’ (USA 2009) celebrates farmers, thinkers and business people across America changing the industrial model of food production to a healthier more sustainable system.
