KIWI ROCK LEGENDS THE HUMAN INSTINCT ARE BACK!
Friday 19 November @ Kings Arms, Auckland
8:00PM DOORS
Fresh from performing overseas with the worlds biggest stars including Fall Out Boy, Weezer and Oasis to name but a few the Human Instinct are back! The Human Instinct will be making a series of performances throughout the North Island to celebrate the October release of their new album Midnight Sun and the November release of The Human Instinct Collection a 6 CD Collection.
Incredibly, the Human Instinct have been wowing audiences in New Zealand and overseas over four decades. They have contributed a large portfolio of illustrious recorded works to our country’s musical landscape. From the mid sixties beath anthem “Go Go” and the pulsating psychedelic rythms of the UK recorded track “A Day in My Minds Mind” through to the 3 blistering power trio rock albums during the early 70s. “Burning Up Years”, “Stoned Guitar” and “Pins In It”. Culminating in the mid 70s melodic rock albums “Snatmin Cuthin” and “The Hustler”. Two of their albums featured in Rip It Ups NZ Top 100 albums of all time.
Their live performances are a spectacular display of energy driven by lead vocalist and drummer Maurice Greer who plays standing up and hammers into his incredible, modified drum kit to produce the unique and solid sound which is their trademark.
The Human Instincts sound, a melting pot of heavy psychedelic and blues rock, is absolutely their own. Their repertoire includes original blistering compositions as well as their unique signature stamped on timeless covers from the Kinks, Joe Walsh, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix and other rock greats.
This is NZ music at it’s best - don’t miss the chance to see this band in action!
