People Productions and Flava present the casting calls for a new hit show “The Family We Are” at ZEAL Global Café at 9am on Saturday 6th November.
Are you the next Kim Kardashian or The Situation' This is your chance to be discovered. Audition to be part of a television show and the first online New Zealand mockumentary. The show is similar in style to Chris Lilley’s “Summer Heights High” and the UK version of “The Office” starring Ricky Gervais.
The show will be filmed in January and launched after a Red Carpet Event in May 2011. The show will feature New Zealand celebrities and the successful contestants from the auditions.
The day will feature a revolving panel of celebrity and industry professional judges such as Dave Fane, Pete Da Palagi, Pio Terei, Erakah and casting agent Sally Spencer Harris (Studio 111). The Flava unit and A-list will be on site, Cut Above Academy will be doing hair and make up, Red Bull product sampling, café, giveaways and opportunity to be filmed as part of the casting call event that will be launched online after November.
Hosts for the event are television and radio personality Clinton Randell and singer songwriter Nik Carlson. Both of the hosts identify with all the contestants as they once graced our screens as finalists in NZ Idol.

We are looking for the reality TV stars, singers, dancers and everyday people“ says Casting Director Sarah de Janiero.
