Bunyip are re-uniting for a one-off show this New Years Eve at the legendary Park Cafe, Marahau.
The original lineup of Oakley Grenell, Redford Grenell and Sasha Marks are bringing their reggae, ska party to the Park Cafe once again.
In their hey-day Bunyip was one of NZ\s most popular young reggae bands, supporting the likes of Ben Harper, Che Fu and Salmonella Dub on countless tours. Bunyip\s high energy and popular grooves are a proven crowd pleaser with Redford (Shapeshifter, Otautahi Allstars) on drums and bassist Sasha Marks locking down the rhythm section and Oakley (O.G, Otautahi Allstars, Departure Lounge) on guitar and vocals.
The band parted ways in 2002 when Sasha moved to Wellington, Oakley to London and Redford to Melbourne with Shapeshifter, but all members have continued to perform and be actively involved in the music industry, releasing some of NZ\s most important albums to date, pushing boundaries and genres to create their own styles.
Be sure to be there for this one off re-union performance and bring in 2011 with a night you will never forget/ with a lot of fun with Bunyip at the Park Cafe.
