Touch my Toga!

A highlight of Orientation Week, the ‘Toga Party’ will be a fun filled night of electro dance beats featuring some of the best acts around today.

Yolanda Be Cool

Australian club, swing house, producers Sylvester Martinez and Johnson Peterson aka Yolanda Be Cool have only been on the scene since 2009, but in that short time have become a household name in clubs through Australia and beyond and bring to this year’s toga party, not only a touch of class but a whole lot of funky upbeat swing house beats and breaks. Off the back of their massive chart topping single ‘We No Speak Americano’ this eclectic duo will be keeping the dance floor packed and amping with their highly infectious house grooves and party tech. Not one to be missed, and always one of the best nights of O week, make sure that you get in for this years Toga party shenanigans.

Coco Solid

Electro/indie/hip hop stalwarts Coco Solid, make a welcome appearance this year with their special brand of highly danceable electro hip hop infused sounds. Jessica Hansell and Erik Ultimate have worked with such electro hip hop luminaries as Girl Talk, Spank Rock and our own Flight of the Conchords as well as New York rapper Princess Superstar and promise to be one of the highlights of this historic orientation night.

Dick Johnson

Dj/Producer Dick ‘Magik’ Johnson has a reputation as being one of New Zealand’s premier club Djs. He has been known to leave dance floors quivering in his tech electro wake and has produced remixes for the likes of Crazy P, Crookers and Ian Pooley.

Maya and Vanya

Croatian sisters Maya and Vanya, bring their unique blend of upfront tech house, disco and nu funk to toga night with a banging set of huge basslines and dance floor stompers.

Supermodel

Four piece Wellington act Supermodel add a touch of melodic rock to the mix, with their well crafted pop songs certain to provide a perfect beginning for the night to come.

Ed Musik

Popular local lad Ed Musik and his catalogue of original electro based upbeat tunes will without a doubt get the party started with a bang.

Toby Nice

Tech house Dj/Producer Toby Nice brings an element of sound to the dance floor like no other with his record bag full of ravetastic goodness.
