Dubclash 2011
Proudly presented by Jagermeister, Dubclash 2011 is New Zealands first national modern bass music DJ competition.
Taking in the full gamut of bass archipelagos, early this March, an elite list of emerging DJs specialising in Dubstep, Dub, Grime, Two-Step, Garage, Wonky, Funky and beyond will gather at regional nightclub heats in Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland.

On the night of each heat, the competing DJs will take part in a round by round process of elimination where they will be judged on audience response, tune selection and mixing by a panel of experts. Regional winners will take away a t-shirt from Glu Clothing, a $50 Cosmic Corner voucher.
Two months later in May, The top two competitors from each heat will be flown to Wellington for the national finals, as held at Sandwiches. Again judged by a panel of experts on audience reaction, tune selection and mixing technique, as well as guaranteed bragging rights and a massively increased national profile, the ultimate winner will take away an impressive prize package, with second and third place being rewarded with smaller prize packages.

05 March 2011 – Dubclash Christchurch, Double Happy

10 March 2011 – Dubclash Wellington, Sandwiches
Competitors: DJ Luba, Scriminal, Dirty Red, Whispa, Kid Switched On, Nabs, Obfuscape, Tim Salter
11 March 2011 – Dubclash Auckland, Fu Bar
Competitors: Flex, Lowquid, P is for Purple, Mobility Scooter, Captain Morgan, i1, R dUb, Yates.
06 May 2011 – Dubclash National Final, Sandwiches Wellington.

All events will start promptly at ''pm. Tickets for the heats are $10 + booking fee and are available from all usual local outlets, more on the door. Ticket prices for the national finals will be announced at a later date.
