Street Performers at the Titirangi Festival of Music: Arli Liberman is a 24 year old guitarist from Israel who has the extraordinary ability to create a special guitar sound, flowing seamlessly from alternative jazz through to rock n roll and into the unexplored regions of Crossover music. Arli has played, recorded and edited with various bands and individual musicians around the world. In 2005 he performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival with the band WhiteFlag Project; a crossover Israeli/Palestinian band and at the KKL in Switzerland which was broadcast live on National Swiss TV.
In 2007 he was the guitarist for Ras HaSatan ‘A Sinai Journey’ where over 50 musicians from all over the world came together in the Sinai desert in Egypt and created a unique world music album. One of these songs went on to one of the Putumayo compilation albums. In 2008 he performed at the Creation of Peace Festival in Russia to an audience of 200,000 people alongside musicians such as Keith Emerson, King Crimson, Tony Levin, Adrian Belew, Patti Smith and many other great musicians.
