Gig Information

Tucson chanteuse Marianne Dissard celebrates the release of new album 'L'Abandon' with eight cities 'music & film' solo NZ tour in April 2011.

When Auckland-based distributor Rythmethod released Marianne Dissard's album 'L'Entredeux' in 2010, with a first tour of the country that saw her team up with Flip Grater and Delaney Davidson, including a Sounday date in Christchurch, Marianne knew she would be back sooner than later to stunning New Zealand. For the release of her second album 'L'Abandon' (2011), also made available through Rythmethod, Marianne brings her 'music & film' solo performance to eight of her favorite New Zealand venues. With new songs and her album's zany companion film, 'Lonesome Cowgirls', a remake of Andy Warhol's 1968 Tucson western, expect a very French yet so Tucson evening with the charismatic performer, hailed as one of the most poignant and versatile live performers you could ever hope to stumble across. Dissard commands an audience unlike many others” (Santa Barbara Independent/USA). Or to put it simply, “She’s just a damn good time” (Seattle Weekly/USA).
