An End Has A Start was recorded with Jacknife Lee (Bloc Party, Snow Patrol, U2, Kasabian) and has seen Editors deliver on the promise and potential of their first album. In spades.
Hailing from Birmingham in the UK, Editors brilliant debut album The Back Room was the toast of 2005. It was short listed for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize and was the sound of a band gazing up at the stars while filling dance floors down below. Editors did things the old fashioned way – great songs and great gigs. The terrific trilogy of opening singles Bullets, Munich and Blood was impossible to ignore and their high impact live shows saw word of mouth catch fire. Editors steadily went platinum in the UK and made huge inroads everywhere, particularly in the US which was awash with buzz around their touring.
Right now, on the eve of their new album, Editors can look forward to a year of great adventure.
They are performing at all the major international festivals including Glastonbury, Wireless Festival, Oxygen, T in The Park, Summersonic and V Festival and will then continue touring round the world. Who knows how far this journey will take them or where it will end.
