Steve Kilbey and Ricky Maymi are heading to New Zealand for five shows in late July, proudly presented by 95bFM, Groove Guide, Juice TV and Jack Daniels.
Fans can look forward to reinterpretations of Church and Steve Kilbey solo material, plus songs from the eagerly anticipated Kilbey/Maymi album The Wilderness Years by David Neil, to be released in New Zealand through Yellow Eye next month.
Kilbey and Maymi will perform with Shaun Hoffman (drums) and Adrian Hoffman (bass). In support, Auckland's Kurt Shanks (ex-Stellar*) and band reveal songs from his upcoming CD.
As well as completing the new album, it has been a prolific 12 months for both Kilbey and Maymi.
Kilbey toured with The Church throughout the US and Australia for the 30th Anniversary Acoustic Tour. The Church were inducted in the ARIA Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame.
Maymi's New Zealand tour is hot on the heels of a UK tour as part of Liverpool's legendary The Wild Swans.
