RINGWORM
2011 New Zealand Tour
with special guests THE BURIAL

"Spawned in 1991 from the burgeoning metal/hardcore scene of Cleveland, Ohio, genre heavyweights Ringworm immediately created a stir and made waves across North America and worldwide with their dark blend of fast thrash, hardcore punk and metal... 20 years on, they continue to create some of the most violent and aggressive music in the genre.

Fronted by the band's infamous vocalist Human Furnace, renowned for using his voice to extract the diabolical fury of anyone who hears it, Ringworm quickly became a name synonymous with raw hardcore energy and unbridled aggression.

Having inspired countless bands to follow in their destructive footsteps, the band is considered to be one of the most influential and legendary acts in modern hardcore and metal.

The band's first album 'The Promise' was released in 2003 on Incision Records and also re-released in 1996 by Deathwish Records.

This July sees the release of their highly anticipated new studio album 'Scars', the latest offering from the band since 2007's 'The Venomous Grand Design'.

The band's fifth full length album and fourth offering for Victory Records was tracked at Spider Studios in Ohio with producer Ben Schigel (Walls of Jericho, Chimaira) and is a testament to the relentless and timeless sound and style that the band are
responsible for crafting.

This September will mark Ringworm's second visit to New Zealand shores since their one-off appearance in Auckland in 2006 in support of their release 'Justice Replaced By Revenge'.

Supporting Ringworm on their New Zealand tour dates will be none other than local hardcore heavyweights The Burial.

Formed in Auckland City in 2008 the band has earned the respect of many hardcore and metal fans alike.

Having released their debut album 'Existence' in 2010, The Burial have become a household name and will play the perfect
fit to joining the US headliners.

Be sure not to miss your opportunity to witness the reigning kings of dark and destructive metallic hardcore as they grace our shores this September."
