Gig Information

It seems a lot of people out there love Sherpa.

From garnering Album of the Week in The Groove Guide with Pretty Cool Optical Illusions alongside a number one on Aucklands 95bFM with Batman Through A Telescope) to having their debut video for Lol Wut screen on C4s Homegrown show and play at 95bFMs Fancy New Bands showcase. Indeed, Sherpa-love is spreading.

Their performance alone was viewed as one of the highlights of MUZAI: Year 2 playing to a full-to-the-brim Whammy Bar and demonstrating just how hard the band has worked over the past six months. Everything leading up to where they are now can be attributed to many things- but sheer grit and passion would be the most concurrent attribute

With that being said, it should come as no surprise then that Sherpa love everyone out there also. So much so that the group comes bearing a gift.

Having gone into pre-production mode as they look set to release a full-length release next year, the group is giving away Turtles through their Bandcamp page come Friday 1st July. One of their more pop-skewed numbers (god forbid we say heavenly pop hit) that has proven popular in their live shows, but doesnt quite fit onto their album.

That also means the band are going to be heading underground for the next few months as they bolt down and start recording/writing more material to release through MUZAI Records. Dont fret though; the band are hitting the road for one last tour to end the year in the same way they started in; on a high. Take that metaphorically or literally, pending your persuasion

Turtles will be available at Sherpa.bandcamp.com from Friday July 1st for free download.
