Since early 2009, Mauricio Ackermann (Vox/Gat), Joel Rowlands (Drums), and Glen Balfour (Bass) have been ripping up the highways and performing their own unique style of hard hitting, Groove Laden Punk Rock to a solid fan base throughout New Zealand.
Making good friends along the way, Queenstown based THE FLAMING DRIVERS have played alongside many top kiwi bands including The Tutts, The Outsiders, Hangman, Left Or Right, and playing support for Top International Punk Rock giants Strung Out. (USA)
THE FLAMING DRIVERS have been described as Hard Rocking Punk with a big hit of Grunge, Classic Rock and Metal...creating one tasty Rocket Fuel that drives their exciting live shows.
In earlier achievements, the band were partly responsible for organizing and helping raise over $8000 for the victims of the Haiti Earthquake.
With a current 9 track EP Damage In My Brain, (available via i-tunes) THE FLAMING DRIVERS are now touring extensively and working towards the release of their debut album.
