Nueva Trio, are a newly formed group consisting of three members hailing from New Zealand. Bass Player Richard Mahoney, originally from Whakatane relocated to Auckland with view to attend and study at the Auckland University of music.
Ryan Attwood (Drums) originally from Waitakere, Auckland where he Majored in Post Production at South Seas Film & TV school. Singer/Guitarist Chris Lake hails from C...hristchurch, forced to leave as the Feb 22 earthquake destroyed much of the city and felt musically the city had very little to offer in terms of establishing a new act. Chris ventured to Auckland with a vision to form Nueva Trio, within six weeks of settling in Auckland, found bandmates Richard and Ryan, had their first rehearsal and instantly found magic with the guy backing his originally written songs.
As a solo artist Chris has had to re-structure his tracks to suit a band format.
The band have just recorded their first single 'It's Not Quite There' with Producer Tyler Burke currently based in Auckland.
