Alphashift is a group of musicians from Wellington who have been exciting audiences with their explosive rock style since its inception in 2006.
Alphashift, a hard working professional band has just released their debut album “light in the Darkest night”. This hard work paid off for the group in 2009 when they won the New Zealand Final of the Global Battle of the Bands. They went on to Sydney to compete in the Australasian final against 19 Australian acts, garnering a massive response from the local crowd.
Alphashifts impressive line up of accomplished musicians is fronted by their charismatic lead singer Dene Patton with Trev Molloy on lead guitar. Both veterans of the performing arts scene in Wellington, Dene and Trev know how to put on a show and get the crowd jumping. The ensemble is completed with the solid backbone of Innes Hutchison on drums and the natural rhythm of bass guitarist Fred Glover. The music created is a collaborative effort and they all bring their varied musical tastes and backgrounds to the table. Alphashift however, does credit New Zealand bands such as Shihad and Blindspot as influences on their style of music.
Alphashift’s debut album “Light in the Darkest Night” is out now!(Available through the Alphashift website, i-tunes and Amazon) The first single off the album “A thousand Voices” is a high energy rock song that will appeal to a wide range of audiences. For upcoming events and more information on
