Auckland sound experimentalists Mothra have been chipping away at their debut recording slowly but surely when time presents itself. But good things take time, and after producer Aaron Harris (ISIS) has finished mixing duties from his studio in LA, it will no doubt be worth the wait. In the mean time they will be delivering another set at Whammy Bar where they recently opened for US act Russian Circles. Friday Oct 28th. Joining Mothra will be the highly acclaimed alternative metal outfit Rule of Thieves. This talented 5 piece recently released a brilliant debut E.P 'Silhouettes' now available for free download through their facebook page. They are currently in the pre-production stages of their much anticipated first full length offering. If Mothra and ROT weren't enough, Oct 28 will also feature a debut performance from members of Sora Shima and An Emerald City, under the name of Gang Violins.
